Hot Off the Press! Brand New Coworking Spaces Launching in 2019

2019 is an exciting year in the world of coworking. Some of the biggest coworking brands and property developers are launching new flexible initiatives that cater to the needs of startups, small businesses, and even large enterprises. We’ve previously talked about how MNCs and corporates could benefit from coworking spaces. Not only can they save businesses a great deal on costs, they also allow companies to build their networks and expand their team at low risk.

While most coworking spaces in Singapore still cater to smaller headcounts, we’re beginning to see corporates move their entire team to a coworking space. Our case study on Lendlease is a prime example of a large business who set up shop in a coworking space and achieved positive results. This year, the Lendlease case will no longer be an exception, as several coworking spaces are launching that cater specifically to larger teams, with private offices that can suit teams of 50 to 100 to even 200!

Here’s a quick run down of the new spaces launching this year:

1.   PLQx

OPENING IN APRIL 2019

Lendlease set up their headquarters in a coworking space back in 2017, and now, the big property developer is setting up its own coworking space at Paya Lebar — PLQx. This space will be part of an larger, mixed-use development cluster known as Paya Lebar Quarter.

This up-and-coming city precinct will be home to three Grade A office buildings. The PLQx coworking space alone will comprise a whopping 72,000 square feet, taking up two entire floors of the third office tower (PLQ3). As one of the first coworking spaces in Asia specifically catered to enterprises, this space has private offices for teams of 50 to 100 pax. These spaces are all fully-fitted, packed with ergonomic furniture, biophilic design elements, and more.

PLQx ultimately aspires to be more than just a workspace. This space caters to the needs and well-being of its members, offering health and wellness programs, corporate innovation workshops, as well as a social app to enhance a sense of community.
